Bedford Springs Resort invites you to listen the sounds of wildlife, meander through nature, and experience four-season outdoor recreation. Whether a hike in the fresh country air, a supreme fly fishing experience on our Gold Medal Trout Stream, or mountain biking, we’ll equip you with everything you need for a day of fun.

Hiking
Explore over 25 miles of hiking trails throughout the resort’s 2,200 acres. Many of these lush trails are hundreds of years old, and some were cut by Native Americans, pioneers moving West, as well as by employees of the hotel during its initial construction. We offer a variety of marked trails suited to different abilities, from easy terrain along Shobers Run Creek, to sections with greater elevation changes for those desiring a more challenging route. Birders will take special delight in these serene trails overlooking the beautiful Cumberland Valley. Leave the busy pace of the world behind and enter the timeless beauty of Bedford Springs Resort.

Fishing
Bedford Springs Resort is a fly fisher's paradise, with its very own stocked Gold Medal trout stream—Shobers Run—flowing through the heart of the resort's historic championship golf course. Following a $1.1 million restoration project, the stream and wetlands have been returned to their natural state. The results are an expanded streambed and pristine aquatic habitat, as well as a trout spawning area by the golf course's hole #6—a rare, natural feature in keeping with Bedford Springs Resort's majestic setting.

Guests can also fish from our stocked spring fed lake, the perfect place for our youngest guests to make their first catch. Additionally, the area offers a variety of trout streams and the Juniata River with excellent bass fishing. We’ll supply the equipment; all you have to decide is where you’d like to cast your fishing rod.
