Seeking a fun activity for the kids while you sneak away for a round of golf or spa treatment? Our Resort Rascals™ children’s program features a kid’s only club room, and programs designed to entertain and educate children during the daytime and evening hours. Resort Rascals is available Memorial Day thru Labor Day, and off season with 24 hour notice.
Children ages 4 to 12 love this supervised children's recreation program. Exciting activities include hiking, biking, story time, craft projects, swimming, and evening pizza parties. Activities are based on number of children, age range and interests.
We also offer Kids Night Out, an evening dinner program for children, which operates nightly during the summer season, and weekends during the remainder of the year. All Kids Night Out activites are on request, requiring a minimun of 24 hours notice. They can take part in a half-day or full day program. Lunch is included with the full day program. Activities will include tracking, fishing, stream study and more. Games, crafts and activities are all a part of this unique program.

Catch “Gold Fever” by learning to pan for gold on shoreline of Shober’s Run. f you’re lucky you may just find a nugget to take home with you!
1:30pm – 2:30pm - Tie Dye
Feeling Groovy? Create your own unique shirt using a rainbow of colors. This is fun for whole family.
3:00pm – 4:00pm - Lawn Games
Join the activity staff for an afternoon on the front the lawn for a game of croquet or bocce.
Tuesday
10:00am – 11:30am - Hook, Line & Sinker
Hey kids, this is a special program just for you! Learn knot tying, fishing safety, casting and then go fishing at Red Oaks Lake. All instruction, equipment and bait included.
10:30am – 11:30am - Guided H ike
See the natural beauty of Bedford Spring and learn about the rich natural history on this guided hike. This a gentle hike that will highlight the Springs and the Davy Lewis cave area.
1:30pm – 3:00pm - Stream Search
Have you ever wondered what lives in the stream? Well, let’s find out! Roll up your pant legs and get ready to explore. We will flip rocks and collect up life from the stream, will use field guides to figure out what we’ve found and then release it back into the stream.
2:00pm – 3:30pm - Guided Hike
Explore the grounds of Bedford Springs and see some of the more private natural areas. Learn about the wildlife, plants and history of this beautiful property.
3:30pm – 4:30pm - Lawn Games
Join the activity staff for an afternoon on the front the lawn for a game of croquet or bocce.
6:00pm – 8:00pm - Guided Kayak Tour at Shawnee Lake
Enjoy a relaxing evening kayak tour on Shawnee Lake located at nearby Shawnee State Park. Guides will show you the basics of flat water paddling in recreational kayaks you can relax and enjoy as the sunsets.*Limit spaces available (5)– sign up early

Mad Scientists, Magic, Night Sky or Field Games are just some of the themes of our Kid’s Night Out program. This is for children ages 4-12. Dinner is included. Games, activities, crafts and fun are all included.

Try your hand at high tech treasure hunting! Learn the basics of a handheld GPS unit works. Then let the hunt begin! You can go with one of our staff or if you’re feeling confident you can try it on your own. Remember if you take a treasure, leave a treasure.
1:30pm – 2:30pm - Hidden Treasures
Looking for an activity that will keep you busy for weeks to come? You may want to create your own hidden treasures game. This hand held version of hide and seek is a wonderful way to keep you busy.
